Judge Jeff Beigel is starting a series of presentations about the role of the Probate Court in our community.

The purpose of the program is to provide an overview of when Probate is necessary, the role of a Will, Guardianships, Adoptions, Marriage Licenses, Name Changes, Mental Illness, and other Probate matters.

Judge Beigel will review when a decedent’s assets can only be distributed with Probate Court approval and when Probate is not necessary.

“One of the responsibilities of a Judge is to assist in educating the community about the role of the Court. For many, Probate Court is not well understood. We’re hoping that this will offer a better understanding of the Court’s role and service to the community,” said Judge Beigel.

The first presentation is Monday, May 19, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Amos Memorial Public Library – Community Room.
