The Sidney-Shelby County Health Department is proud to announce its Harm Reduction Kick-Off Event.

The event will occur on October 29, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sidney-Shelby County Health Department,
202 W. Poplar Street, Sidney.

The event will include a Proclamation from the Shelby County Commissioners at 1:00 p.m., refreshments, and the official launch of a Harm Reduction Vending Machine — offering 24/7 access to free, life-saving resources.

The vending machine will include a variety of items aimed at improving community health and safety, such as
naloxone (Narcan), fentanyl test strips, hygiene kits, sexual health products, dental supplies, COVID-19 and flu test kits, pregnancy tests, and gun locks.

These supplies are provided at no cost to the public and are made possible through partnerships and grant funding that value the health and well-being of every resident.
